Two possibilities, and the first catches most people.
Blogano’s categories are its own, not WordPress’s. They’re typed into Blogano → Settings → Cards & Feed, one per line, and stored against each submission. Nothing you’ve set up under Posts → Categories appears in the list. If the list is empty, members had nothing to choose from and no post has a category.
Or the posts predate the feature. Submissions made before you switched categories on have none assigned. They still appear in the feed, but not under any filter. Open them from the Editorial Desk and assign categories there — the WordPress Posts screen won’t do it.
Readers can select more than one category at a time. Posts in any of the selected categories are shown, and each appears as a chip they can remove individually.
