Blogano 1.0.0 — the whole plugin, free, GPL.
Turn your WordPress website into a multi-author publishing hub. Zero paywalls, no backend risks, no recurring fees.
Requirements
WordPress 5.8 or newer
PHP 7.4 or newer
Update through WordPress as normal. Settings, submissions, roles and pins all live in your database and are untouched by an update.
About the version number
Blogano was numbered privately while it was being built, reaching 1.61.0 before release. That numbering was never published. The first public version is 1.0.0 — so if you followed development and expected a higher number, nothing is missing.
What You Get with Every Download
Unlike freemium plugins that lock crucial tools behind monthly subscriptions, Blogano includes 100% of its feature set right out of the box:
- Dual Front-End Submission Modes: Full rich-text article editor and automatic URL metadata scraping.
- Complete Editorial Control: Forced draft review queue with custom rejection/approval feedback loops.
- Isolated Contributor Portals: Front-end dashboards, registration, logins, and public author profiles.
- Enterprise-Ready Utilities: Native RTL & bilingual support, email logs, reCAPTCHA protection, and bulk import/export.

Quick 3-Step Setup Guide
- Download & Install: Click the download button above to get the .zip file, or search for Blogano directly within your WordPress dashboard via Plugins > Add New.
- Activate the Plugin: Click Activate. Blogano will automatically generate your core front-end submission page and subscriber portal options.
- Configure Your Workflow: Navigate to the new Blogano tab in your admin menu to adjust your primary submission rules, style controls, and editorial notification emails.
What happens when you activate it
Activation adds a Blogano menu, creates the two roles, and offers to create the nine pages Blogano uses. Nothing appears on your public site until you put a shortcode on a page and assign it under Blogano → Settings → Shortcodes.
The user manual walks through a minimum setup of four pages, which is enough for a working site.
Change Log
Blogano was developed privately for several months before launch, and the version numbering used during that period was reset for release. Everything described on the features page is in 1.0.0 — this is a first release, not a stripped-down one.
Future releases will be listed here, newest first, with the same wording used in the plugin’s own changelog.
