Emails aren’t arriving

This is the most common Blogano problem, and it’s almost never Blogano.

WordPress sends mail through your web server by default. Most hosts either block that outright or have poor deliverability, so messages vanish or land in spam. Nothing in the plugin can fix a host that won’t send mail.

The fix: install an SMTP plugin — FluentSMTP is free and straightforward — and connect it to a real sending service. Brevo and Amazon SES both have free tiers big enough for a small site.

Then check two things in Blogano:

  1. Blogano → Settings → Communication — make sure the master notification switch is on, and the individual notification you’re expecting is enabled too.
  2. Set the From address to your own domain. Mail claiming to come from you@gmail.com but sent by yoursite.com gets filed as spam by almost everything.

To confirm what actually happened: the Email Log shows what Blogano tried to send and when. If the message is logged, Blogano did its job and the problem is downstream.
